Terms of service

This website is operated by DeveloperData.net ("Developer Data", "we"), Empire Tower, 41st Floor, Unit 4106-7, South Sathorn Road, Yannawa, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120, Thailand. These terms are governed by the law of Thailand, and the courts of Bangkok have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Your account

One person or one business per account, with true details. Keep your API key to yourself: you are responsible for everything done with it. If you think it has been seen by someone else, rotate it from your account at once.

Plans and billing

• Paid plans are billed through Stripe and renew until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account; access runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
• A price change is announced before it applies, and only from your next period.
• The refund rules are on the refunds page.
• A purchase may be credited to the partner who referred you, through our partner program. It never changes the price you pay.

Fair use

Your plan's limits are the fair-use line: its calls a minute and its calls a day. Getting around them is not allowed: several free accounts for one person, sharing a key, rotating keys to reset a limit, or reading the website in place of the API. We may slow, pause or close an account that does this.

The data: use it, do not replicate it

• You may use what OilAPI gives you in your own work, apps and sites, and show results to your own users.
• You may not resell, redistribute or republish the data itself, in bulk or through an API or feed of your own.
• You may not download it in bulk to rebuild our database, or use it to build a competing product.

Acceptable use

Nothing unlawful. No probing or load-testing our systems without asking first. No attempts to reach another member's data. No scraping pages that OilAPI offers through its API.

Accuracy

Prices and other data are given as they are, gathered with care, without a warranty that they are complete or free of mistakes. A price can change at a station or be revised by the body that publishes it after we read it. OilAPI gives market and price data, not financial, trading or investment advice.

Availability

We aim to keep OilAPI running and show how every part is doing on /status, but we promise no uptime unless a plan says one.

Liability

Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or lost data.

Suspension and closing

• We can pause or close an account that breaks these terms. A serious breach can be acted on without notice.
• An account closed for a breach is not refunded.
• You can close your account at any time (see privacy, deleting an account).

Changes to these terms

The new version is posted here with its date. A change that matters is emailed to members before it applies.

Law and contact

The law of Thailand applies, and the courts of Bangkok decide any dispute. Questions go through support.
